Available at Amazon. This is a superb book which, at long last, sets the conflict in its proper context - with the ethnic cleansing of Palestine by Zionist Jews at its very centre. Don't bother trying to understand anything about Israel and Palestine until you have read this book.

Noam Chomsky: The Fateful Triangle

Available at Amazon. This fine book was my political introduction to the subject and it is still a classic. However I have been recently disappointed by Chomsky's endorsement of a "two-state solution" which, in my view, is unworkable and betrays Palestinian human rights. Re-reading The Fateful Triangle I feel that despite everything Chomsky still harbours a few illusions about Zionism.
